Important notice
The membership is directly issued by Optica, EPS or SPIE. You can choose which non-profit organization you would like to join according to the benefits they offer. Typically if you work in photonics you may want to join Optica or SPIE, and if you work in condensed matter physics you may prefer EPS. It doesn’t really matter 🙂
Once you get an Optica, EPS or SPIE membership (the tentative cost is indicated above), we can add you on our online chapter portal officially.
When you click apply you will be asked to fill a preliminary form. You will be contacted shortly afterwards by our chapter members with instructions.
Good to know
If you are a PhD student or a Postdoc at the Physics Department you may ask your supervisor to sponsor the cost of the membership for you. Most researchers will join Optica, EPS or SPIE along their career anyway, because of the innumerable benefits they offer. For example, if you would like to attend most of international conferences, with this membership you get huge discounts on the conference fees (hundreds of € off the price!).
