Chiara Trovatello, Ph.D. in Physics at PoliMi under the supervision of Prof. Giulio Cerullo and Prof. Stefano Dal Conte, and now Marie Curie Global Fellow at Columbia University in the city of New York, has been awarded with the prestigious lifetime title of Optica Ambassador.
Optica Ambassadors provide career advice, technical knowledge and mentorship with students and early career professionals in the field by supporting professional development events at meetings and engaging with their communities.
In recognition of all the outreach and mentoring activities she has conducted as founder and former president of our Optica Chapter and as volunteer within the scientific community, Chiara Trovatello is part of the 2024 Class of Optica Ambassadors.
During her first year as an Optica Ambassador, she plans to organize professional development events and visit student chapters as a role model for underrepresented groups in STEM. She wants to help connect people within the scientific community.
So, stay tuned, Chiara might stop soon by Milan to visit us 🙂
Congratulations, Chiara!
