TexMaker, TeXlive, Miktex, LateX… Overleaf?! What is all this and why can’t I just use Word to write my Master thesis?’ Well, if these questions ever crossed your mind, we organized a workshop thought just for you!

With the precious collaboration of Polimi’s very own Open unix Labs (POuL), we came up with Dolce Stil LaTeX, a 1h30 introduction to LaTeX, covering the philosophical questions (why should you bother to ‘program’ your text instead of writing it) to the more practical ones (how to setup a document and kick off with LaTeX).

Over a dozen lucky PhD, MsC, and even researchers had the opportunity to fill Aula Blu inside the Physics Department and learn a new, very useful skill for their academic careers, all during a great presentation and with the possibility to ‘get their hands dirty’ right on the spot, compiling their very first document.
