In the context of the International Day of Light, we invited Prof. Giulio Cerullo, a pioneer in the generation and manipulation of ultrashort flashes of light, from the Physics Department of Polimi.

Prof. Cerullo is the head of the Femtosecond Lab of Polimi, and he presented various topics from his research groups. He explained us the fascinating world of ultrafast spectroscopy, where ultrashort light is used to record a movie of “dancing molecules” at the nanoscale.
